I’ve had an interest in environmental matters since I read ‘Silent Spring’ at school – and have been increasingly aware of the challenges facing all of us ever since. My specific interest is how everyone can make a change – how it’s not that difficult to be ‘green’ and how minimising your impact on the planet can be good for your pocket and your health. I’m passionate about reducing waste, living efficiently, saving energy, eating well for less and making the most of our natural environment for better mental and physical health. I believe that we can all ‘do our bit’ and that those contributions all add up to bigger changes whilst also making a positive difference to our everyday lives. My aim as part of the CCA steering group is to make sure that we create, collect and share useable, practical guidance to help us all in our mission to tackle climate change whilst also saving us money and making us happier and healthier in the process.

We moved to Coleford nearly twenty years ago and our girls have grown up being surrounded by the most beautiful countryside. Also going to our local school, clubs, and events held in the village we have always felt really connected to the community.
I felt it was really important to preserve the special place that we have here for the generations to come, not stagnating in the past, moving the village forward in the best way for our future generations so that they too can experience the unique space and community that we have.

I aim to inspire residents to take action, whether through adopting eco-friendly practices in their daily lives or participating in community-led initiatives to reduce carbon emissions and preserve natural resources.
By fostering a culture of collaboration, I hope Coleford can harness the collective power of its residents to create a more resilient and sustainable future for generations to come.

I joined the Coleford Climate Action Group to support community projects that put people, planet first. Being part of an empowered community gives me hope for the future generations living in Coleford.

I am a Landscape Architect and gardener and have a deep love for nature. As part of the CCA I hope to collaborate on finding simple and achievable ways in which we can increase our connection with the beautiful area in which we live, as well as help alleviate the impact of the climate crisis on the natural world. This might be in our gardens, in the food we consume, or in the way that our land is managed.
I also love cycling, running and swimming, and we are so lucky with some of the opportunities around us for these activities. I am aiming to enable us to be more active and travelling sustainably.
